Chloe Emery, DVM
Dr. Emery is originally from Jackson, MS and attended Louisiana State University for her undergraduate degree and veterinary school. She graduated in 2018 and has worked at Lakeland Animal Clinic since graduation. She also works part-time at the Animal Emergency and Referral Center. Dr. Emery has an English Bulldog named Vito and is married to her husband Gray. During her free time, she enjoys cooking, tennis, pickleball, fishing and riding horses at her grandparents’ farm in Vaughan, MS.
Katy Grace Abbott, DVM
I grew up in Fondren but currently reside in Madison, MS. I started my college career at Belhaven University where I played collegiate volleyball for 2 years. I then finished out my undergraduate degree in pre-vet/biology at Mississippi State University. I graduated from MSU College of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2024. While I love all species of animals, I have a passion for feline medicine and am known as a crazy cat lady! In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and dogs, playing with my cats, working out and playing volleyball.
Tori Schallenberger
I have been a veterinary technician since 2014. I absolutely love what I do. Ever since I was a kid, I knew this was what I was meant to do. I love your fur babies like they are mine. Puppy kisses are my favorite! I have been married to my wonderful husband since 2017, and we have two dogs and three cats that are our world. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry friends!

I am from Jackson, MS. I have always had a passion for veterinary medicine. I attended Mississippi State University, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Medical Technology. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my dog, Moose. I love my job and strive to provide the best care for all of our patients.
Ashley Spivey
I grew up in Jackson, MS, and now live in Canton, MS with my husband, one of my three children, and three dogs and two cats. I taught preschool for 16 years, then decided to pursue my passion for animals. I graduated from the Hinds Community College Veterinary Technician program in 2016 and couldn’t be happier taking care of your fur babies!

I spent most of my childhood obsessed with animals and knew early on I wanted a career in that field. I enjoy being able to build trust with my animals, especially the ones needing some extra TLC. I’ve spent my 14 year career learning special handling and grooming methods that focus on building a relationship with my pets. My goal is to make it as relaxing and comfortable as possible, giving them the time and patience they deserve. In my free time, I enjoy painting and creative hobbies. I love being outside in nature, especially with my animals and love spending time with my family.
Henry
I am by far the most valuable staff member at Lakeland Animal Clinic. I am on the clock 24/7 so I can supervise everything. I spend the majority of my work day greeting clients, offering support to my feline friends undergoing vaccinations and surgical procedures, inspecting carriers for safety and coziness, and taking inventory in our food closet. In my free time, I enjoy sunbathing, rolling in catnip, and forcing the other staff to feed me treats. The strenuous nature of my job can cause me to have attitude problems sometimes, so please be careful approaching me, especially if you’re not bringing me a well-deserved treat.
